We currently have vacancies for experienced school inspectors who do not live/work in the UAE.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject/area with qualified teacher status
• High standard of oral and written communication in English.
• Oral and written fluency in other relevant languages of instruction including Arabic.
• A minimum of five years’ teaching experience in a relevant subject(s), curricula and phase(s).
• An additional minimum of two years’ leadership and management experience in a recognized educational institution.
• Prior experience as an inspector in the UAE and/or in other recognized overseas inspection / evaluation framework (minimum two years overseas).
• Prior experience as a lead inspector in the UAE and/or in other recognized overseas inspection / evaluation framework (minimum of two years overseas).
• Expertise in relevant areas such as school evaluation, school improvement and school self-evaluation, special education provision, early years, curriculum and assessment issues.
• Specialist knowledge and expertise of current international best practices in school effectiveness especially as they apply to the work of inspectors.
• Understanding of the religious and cultural sensitivities of Arabic culture.
• Ability to analyse documentation and other data and be responsible for making realistic decisions and judgements.
• Ability to provide an unbiased, independent, professional assessment of the quality of learning and teaching, including the standards achieved by learners according to the relevant curricula.
• Ability to promote fair and balanced reporting of evidence to support findings, conclusions and recommendations.
• Capacity to present an honest, fair and reliable report that identifies progress and achievement of schools and their students.
• Use of ICT to include distance learning, data analysis, report writing and presenting information.
Organizational ability to plan, prioritize, work independently and collaboratively with team members to meet tight deadlines
• Highly effective interpersonal skills and a capacity to form positive working relationships and interaction with all stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a confidential environment and deal sensitively with individuals even in difficult situations.
